What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Supervisor position at Capstone Nutrition?
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise QA Department.
- Strategically address quality issues throughout the organization.
- Solve Quality problems/issues with teams and key individuals within the company.
- Work with specific individuals to help development quality objectives.
- Promote a team environment and winning attitude.
- Train others in the organization on quality related matters.
- Ensure overall company compliance.
- Accountable for the quality of product made.
- Responsible for the release of final product, C of A’s and specific customer requests into distribution.
- Ensure Compliance with Australian GMP requirements, per Chapter 2, as related to raw, in-process materials and finished goods.
- Accurate and timely recording of process parameters on specified documents
- Accurate and timely recording of materials received, product produced, scrap, and excess.
- Proper use and care of equipment and materials issued to work area.
- Responsible to cover food safety job duties of key personnel in your department during their absence.
- QA Supervisor backs up the Quality Manager when the Quality Manager is unavailable.
- Quality Manager backs up the QA Supervisor when the QA Supervisor is unavailable.
1.0.REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS in manufacturing, business/related degree or experience preferred.
- 7-10 Years experience preferred.
- Previous experience managing others.
- ISO Training
- Applied Pharmaceutical Training in Quality
- Six Sigma and Lean Training preferred.
- Must have excellent Interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience using MS Windows and Microsoft Office Applications
- Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write in English in order to perform the essential functions of the job as they relate to comprehension of laws, regulations, standards, documents and other internal and external communications.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure.
- Must be able to demonstrate high levels of reasoning.
- Must be able to work without direct supervision.
2.0.WORK CONDITIONS
- Subject to normal office environment, but must occasionally enter production areas, which may include the following conditions:
- High noise levels
- Dust, fumes, and odors
- Subject to various means of business travel (planes, trains, busses, automobiles)
