Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM), with headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama, is a group of student housing professionals focused exclusively on the management of housing communities owned by non-profits and/or highly affiliated with a university.
Summary
The primary responsibility of this student position is to support the Rountree Commons Staff in maintaining and enhancing the residential community. Duties include but are not limited to cleaning/disinfecting common area spaces such as floor lounges, kitchens, and first floor, vacuuming, moving trash & recycling to the main trash room on the first floor from floor trash rooms, and possibly assisting with painting and repairs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily general inspections
- Reset and prepare suites for new residents, including but not limited to: cleaning, vacuuming and carpet cleaning, rearranging and replacing furniture, general repair, and maintenance, etc
- Paint suites and common spaces as necessary
- Service garbage and recycling areas, including but not limited to: proper removal and transport of materials to the disposal areas
- Assist with general building cleaning and related services
- Escort and monitor contracted repair and service vendors while on-site providing a service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

- High school diploma.
- Current student at University of Wisconsin-Platteville
- Ability to lift to 50lbs and navigate up and down stairs.
- Demonstrate proficiency in verbal communication.
- Possess strong customer service skills.
- Must have troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Work Hours
This student position is anticipated to work 20-30 hours a week for the summer at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Work will typically be performed Monday through Friday between 8:00am-5:00pm, however, we will strive to accommodate class schedules and on occasion, the position may require weekend work.

Compensation
Summer Facilities Assistants will be paid $10.00 per hour and will receive summer housing accommodations at no cost in Rountree Commons if desired. Position not eligible for benefits. Position will work up to 30 hours per week.
