What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler 1st Shift position at Capstone Precision Group?
JOB SUMMARY
The Material Handler will accurately prepare, deliver, and transact in the ERP system the raw materials for production in a timely manner; as well as verify receipt of all incoming / returned materials and all materials being shipped.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Stocking and distribution of incoming materials.
Planned schedule of Material Control in all aspects of efficient department operations; production, shipping, receiving, inventory control.
Empty and replace raw material scrap and bins
Verify all part counts and ensure that deliverable product is packaged per work instructions or best commercial practices in the absence of work instructions.
Assist in shipping and receiving for CPG.
Ensure that all articles shipped are properly documented.
Process all inventory transactions electronically in the ERP system as required.
Assist in Inventory Audits and Cycle counts as needed
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
- 2 years of related experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, and volume.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written oral instructions.
- Ability to be at work on time on a regular consistent basis.
- Ability to operate Forklift
- Ability to lift 45 pounds
- Ability to familiarize with Company ERP system.
