Job Description
This is a rare opportunity for a sophisticated, top-performing attorney to join a firm that values precision, strategic thinking, and client-centric service. We are seeking a skilled and experienced attorney to counsel and represent employers in a wide range of employment-related matters, from hiring to termination and every stage in between. This role involves advising businesses of all sizes—ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies—on employment law compliance, risk mitigation strategies, and complex litigation.
As a key member of our esteemed Employment Law Practice, you will:
- Provide strategic counsel on employment law matters, including wage and hour classifications, noncompetition agreements, leave policies, independent contractor status, anti-discrimination and anti-harassment laws, performance management, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Represent clients in high-stakes employment litigation before federal and state courts, as well as administrative agencies.
- Advise growing businesses (startups, small, and midsize companies) on workforce management and employment best practices.
- Counsel and defend Fortune 500 companies, mid-market businesses, and executives in employment disputes involving discrimination, wage and hour claims, restrictive covenants, and workplace investigations.
- Develop proactive strategies in collaboration with C-suite executives, HR leaders, and in-house counsel to minimize risk and support business objectives.
- Draft and negotiate complex employment agreements, executive compensation arrangements, and workplace policies.
- Mentor and collaborate with junior attorneys while working alongside a team of nationally recognized legal professionals.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of employment law experience, with a proven record of success in litigation, counseling, and compliance.
- A distinguished academic background (J.D. from a top-tier law school preferred).
- Strong advocacy skills, with the ability to manage complex cases and provide pragmatic, business-oriented solutions.
- Bar admission in Massachusetts (or eligibility for admission).
