As a Lien Negotiator, you will play a crucial role in managing and resolving workers’ compensation lien disputes. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our clients and the efficiency of our operations. Job Description & Responsibilities
- Manage Account Inventory: Efficiently handle and prioritize a portfolio of lien accounts.
- Create Plans of Action: Develop strategic plans to address and resolve lien disputes.
- Professional Communication: Engage professionally with clients and healthcare providers to negotiate and settle liens.
- Legal Documentation: Prepare, review, and submit necessary legal documents with precision and accuracy.
- Medical Record Review: Analyze and summarize complex medical records to support lien negotiations.
- Legal Analysis: Assess and formulate compelling legal arguments for effective lien negotiations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in workers’ compensation lien negotiations.
- Certification: IEA Certificate or Certificate of Self Insurance is a plus.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of California Labor Code statutes, Rules and Regulations, case law, and California fee schedules.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Pressure Handling: Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Team Player: Enjoys working collaboratively within a team setting.
