Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage U.S. Federal income tax compliance and reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulations.
- Lead the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns, including apportionment calculations and modifications.
- Maintain and refine tax processes to optimize efficiency, reduce risk, and ensure compliance with evolving tax laws.
- Manage the preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments and extension requests, ensuring seamless execution.
- Monitor state tax nexus and compliance, proactively identifying areas of risk and exposure.
- Oversee state and local tangible property tax filings and other business-related tax obligations.
- Stay at the forefront of legislative tax developments, ensuring the company is proactively aligned with regulatory changes.
- Support federal and state tax audits, providing detailed analysis, documentation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Research and maintain comprehensive tax work papers, ensuring accuracy in book-to-tax differences.
- Drive tax-related integration projects and initiatives, ensuring seamless execution and optimization of compliance processes.
- Provide subject-matter expertise in Research & Development tax credit calculations, helping maximize available tax incentives.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies to uphold best practices in tax compliance.
Requirements
- Proven Expertise – Extensive experience in corporate tax compliance, with a deep understanding of U.S. Federal and State tax laws.
- Strategic Thinker – Ability to manage and mitigate tax liabilities effectively while identifying opportunities for process enhancement.
- Educational & Professional Credentials – Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA or Certified Tax Coach (CTC) preferred but not required.
- Technical Proficiency – Strong command of tax software and Microsoft Office Suite to streamline compliance and reporting.
- Leadership & Collaboration – Ability to manage cross-functional teams, foster collaboration, and drive best-in-class tax strategies.
