We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, with responsibilities that include monitoring premises, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Incident Management: Oversee and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Customer Service: Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their security needs and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict officer skills to de-escalate situations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary for investigations or emergencies.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or fraud attempts.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong conflict officer skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must possess a valid security officer license or certification where applicable.
- A commitment to upholding safety standards and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of officer experience in a security operations role, preferably in an security environment. Preferred Law Enforcement or Military experience but is not required.
- Certification: Must hold a valid BSIS Guard Card, First Aid & CPR Certification (Preferred)
- License: Must possess valid CA Driver’s License and clean driving record. Must have reliable transportation.
- Customer Service Skills: Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods and responding to emergencies.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
