Position Overview : We are seeking an experienced management-side Employment Law Partner to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment litigation, including federal and state discrimination claims, defense of EEOC and OCRC charges, FLSA claims, and non-compete disputes, as well as experience providing proactive employment law counsel to employers aimed at avoiding litigation altogether. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Litigation : Represent employers in employment-related disputes, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour (FLSA), and non-compete / competition matters in both the federal and state courts and before the EEOC and OCRC.
- Advisory Work : Provide practical, business-focused advice to employers on a wide range of employment law matters, including workplace policies, employee handbooks, discipline, terminations, layoffs, ADA (including accommodations), FMLA and wage and hour compliance, designed to reduce the risk of litigation.
- Risk Mitigation : Develop and implement strategies for employers to proactively avoid employment disputes through training, compliance programs, and policy development.
- Strategic Growth : Contribute to the firm's strategic direction by providing insights into the development of the Employment Law practice and identifying opportunities for growth.
