What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Metallurgist (Associate/Entry level) position at CapstoneONE Search?
We are representing a FORTUNE 500 Aerospace/Defense organization who is actively seeking multiple Plant Metallurgists due to newly awarded business at their flagship NA production site. Reporting to the Site Technical Director, this position will be responsible for ensuring produced products’ adherence to customer requirements and quality standards. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure metallurgical products are produced within defined processes and customer specifications/requirements.
- Contribute to new product/process introductions.
- Compile and analyze manufacturing data to define and track process capabilities.
- Work directly with customers to ensure alignment on requirements and to address technical questions/issues.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior metallurgists/engineers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in technical field (metallurgical engineering, material science, chemistry, etc.) required. MS preferred.
- 1 years of engineering experience within metallurgical manufacturing environment(s).
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with statistical techniques/tools (Minitab, etc.).
- Strong communication skills (customer/internal).
