A globally renowned and highly profitable industrial manufacturing organization (Aerospace) is seeking to hire a Regional Sales Manager to drive strategic account growth, manage key customer relationships, and support commercial objectives. Reporting to the Sales Director – North America, this role will play a critical part in expanding market presence, executing customer-focused initiatives, and supporting revenue targets within the Mid-Atlantic region. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Territory Management: Drive sales growth within an assigned region by developing and executing territory-specific sales plans aligned with broader organizational goals.
- Account Development: Manage a portfolio of key customer accounts, nurturing long-term relationships and identifying opportunities for expansion.
- Customer Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, addressing needs and ensuring satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving.
- Sales Execution: Achieve regional revenue targets through effective pipeline management, quote development, and contract support.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Operations, and Product Development to ensure alignment and execution of sales initiatives.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor regional market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to inform sales tactics and positioning.
- CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of activities, forecasts, and opportunities in the company’s CRM system.
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales or account management experience within the aerospace and/or metals manufacturing sector.
- Customer-Focused: Demonstrated ability to build trust with key stakeholders and grow long-term customer accounts.
- Results-Driven: Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical or industrial sales environment.
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Travel: Willingness to travel regionally as needed (50%).
Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
