We are representing a multi-billion dollar aerospace manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Cost Accountant for their Las Vegas manufacturing facility. This organization is the industry leader in their respective product line and have a proven track record of success. This position would report to their Sr. Plant Controller with a strong working relationship with their Director of Finance.
Position Overview:
- Support month-end closes for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Prepare financial models to support different budget and forecast scenarios.
- Participate in the financial performance results with budget vs actual variances.
- Review monthly account reconciliations for specified accounts.
- Assist with ensuring that an adequate internal control system is in place.
- Develop recommendations for cost reduction and profit improvement programs.
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs
- Provides management with detailed reports for use in making business decisions and controlling expenditures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with a preference for advanced degree or certification (i.e. MBA, MSA, CPA, CMA, etc..)
- 3 years of strategic financial accounting experience within the manufacturing sector.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
