POSITION OVERVIEW
- Lead Industrial and Process Improvement initiatives in an effort to improve plant KPI's
- Participate in equipment specification, selection, layout and installation.
- Maintain list of equipment suppliers. Identify new suppliers and verify capabilities
- Support cross functional departments within the manufacturing facility providing technical expertise and leadership.
- Develops and establishes best manufacturing practices, standards, processes, procedures and assures their effective implementation and on-going review.
- Evaluates equipment, operational sequences, and material flows to determine employee job functions and identify opportunities for automation
- Work to improve product quality, reduce scrap, and improved machine uptime by implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Candidate will be provided with a fair amount of autonomy as it pertains to lean projects, Six Sigma methodology, etc..
