We are representing a very prominent aerospace manufacturing organization that is actively seeking a Tooling Design Engineer for their growing tooling group. This person would be responsible for the design, development, and costing of tooling. Our client is the industry leader in their respective product line and has a strong, diverse customer base within the automotive industry.
Responsibilities :
- Provide forged part and tooling designs for forge presses
- Create CNC programs for machining of forge die tooling
- Reviews and verifies Tooling Spec Sheets, engineering changes and major tool repairs from a cost standpoint as necessary
- Creates monthly tool cost reports and distributes them to management
- Stays current with state of the art tooling and processes
- Performs other duties as assigned
