Blackfins Server

Capt Hirams is searching for a committed, proactive server who would enjoy work in an exciting, fast-paced environment. The server will provide patrons with excellent food and quick service. You should be able to work with diverse personalities. This position requires nights, weekends, holidays, and shift work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Welcome/greet guests and provide excellent customer service to all patrons of Capt Hirams restaurants
• Assist patrons with ordering by answering any menu questions and/or making recommendations
• Up-sell any additional products when appropriate
• Keep job knowledge updated by learning menu changes and daily specials and inform guests
• Accurately input customer’s food and beverage order into our point-of-sale system
• Ability to ask guest to provide identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age if necessary
• Ability to answer questions and inform guests about restaurant customer loyalty program, other specials, functions, and promotions
• Deliver food and beverage orders to guests
• Present and pour wine selections with appropriate stemware
• Ensure guests are satisfied with their dining experience by checking on and assisting patrons with any issues
• Clear away dirty plates, glassware, and flatware and clean tables once guests have finished
• Ability to maintain a neat and clean dining area
• Provide guests with final bill and process payments
• Roll silverware, set up food stations, and prep for the next shift
• Any additional task that is deemed necessary in the future

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and other activities as requested. The employee must be able to lift/or move up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
