Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Tax Preparer at Captain by The Bay LLC. The Tax Preparer will be responsible for tax preparation, financial statements, overseeing tax compliance, and staying up-to-date on tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Tax Preparation and Tax Law knowledge
- Experience in Financial Statements and Finance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Must hold a current Enrolled Agent (EA) designation.
- Knowledge of IRS procedures, tax codes, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Represent clients in tax matters before the IRS and other tax authorities.
• Prepare, review, and file individual and business tax returns accurately.
• Provide strategic tax planning, advice, and consultation to clients.
• Ensure compliance with current federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Manage audits, respond to IRS inquiries, and resolve tax issues efficiently.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving tax legislation and industry best practices.
• Build and nurture strong client relationships while collaborating with our internal team.
