Job Title: Outreach Center Program Manager (Full Time, Non-Exempt)
Program: Cheryl’s Lodge Outreach Center
Hiring Range: $23.10 - 23.59 per hour
Job Summary:
Responsible for managing all programs and services which operate out of the Outreach in the Park Center, better known as Cheryl’s Lodge, in Halfmoon Heights mobile home community in the Town of Halfmoon. This includes Homework Help, Community Education, Peace Camp, Summer Meal Program, Senior Citizen Gathering, High School Equivalency Classes, Summer Reading Club, Bread Giveaway, Teen Employment Assistance Program, What’s Cooking, Family Assistance services, and other Enrichment Activities. Also responsible for managing building and grounds for Cheryl’s Lodge.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring day-to-day operations, maintenance, and upkeep of the Cheryl’s Lodge facility are being completed and provide direct oversight as needed.
Recruit, hire, train and supervise the Youth Specialist, Peace Camp Director and Janitor to ensure their respective job responsibilities are being met, as well as annual performance evaluations.
Develop, manage, implement, and supervise all programs, services, and activities at Cheryl’s Lodge under the direction of the agency mission and program policies.
Recruit, train, coordinate and manage all volunteers for the Homework Help program and all other activities at Cheryl’s Lodge.
Ensure that accurate and up-to-date reports are completed and filed in a timely manner, including monthly Director’s Reports, quarterly YDDP reports, monthly STARS reports, Regional Food Bank, and all other reports.
Review daily logs entries made by volunteers to ensure program quality.
Prepare newsletter, calendar, and all communication mediums for Cheryl’s Lodge and ensure communications are sent on a regular basis.
Meet weekly with Director to discuss concerns and progress.
Complete and document 25 hours of job-related training annually.
Responsible for the management and coordination of the Summer Meal Program at Cheryl’s Lodge
Provide supervision, instruction, field placement, and evaluation for college interns assigned to community education project and Cheryl’s Lodge programming.
Schedule and provide appropriate training opportunities for the Youth Specialist.
Identifies and coordinates potential funding sources with senior agency administration.
Assists other CAPTAIN staff with planning and conducting fundraising and promotional activities.
Act as liaison with the Shenendehowa Central School District for Homework Help.
Responsible for maintaining petty cash securely.
Other duties as required by the Director.

Strong computer skills and ability to perform office tasks with Windows platform; to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to be flexible with working early or late as needed.
Strong verbal and non-verbal communicator.
Effective supervision and leadership skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with three years experience in the field of human services, or education, or commensurate amount of experience in program management and residential care for youth. At least one year of supervisory experience within the human services field.
Case management experience is preferred.
A valid NYS Drivers License and provide evidence of appropriate insurance coverage.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, flexibility and initiative.
Telecommuting and Remote Work:
Generally remote work is not a viable option for this position as there is significant need to be on site at the Outreach Center to manage the facility and run programs.
