Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Assist servers by providing support during busy service periods, including refilling drinks and clearing tables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status, special requests, or any issues that may arise during service.
- Adhere to food safety standards and practices while handling food items.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating dishes or preparing garnishes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and culinary terminology is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
