Gift Shop Sales Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Gift Shop Associate to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their purchases and ensuring the shop is well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail sales and a knack for creating a welcoming shopping environment.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing store layout by restocking shelves and arranging merchandise.
• Provide knowledgeable assistance regarding products, including answering questions and making recommendations.
• Process sales transactions using the POS system efficiently.
• Ensure high standards of customer service, including effective phone etiquette when handling inquiries.
• Supervise junior staff or volunteers as needed, fostering a positive team environment.
• Assist in inventory management, including stock checks and ordering supplies as necessary.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Proficiency in cash handling and operating cash registers or POS systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as it enhances customer interaction.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
