Summary : The Weigh & Dispense Operator will ensure that all formula materials are weighed out according to specified formulas. Also, the Weigh & Dispense Operator must ensure that weighed raw materials are bunched together according to batch ticket instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Must have the ability to follow and understand weighing procedures
- Operate electric drum lifts, manual drum lifts, forklift and pallet jacks
- Calculates simple math problems
- Ability to operate floor scales
- Ability to comprehend Batch formulas
- Must ensure weighed material is processed through Batch Master
- Must be able to weigh out specified quantities of raw materials per batch specification
- Ensures that the receivers, drums and tools are cleaned, sanitized, checked and signed by Quality Assurance prior to starting a batch
- Must ensure raw materials are returned to appropriate locations in warehouse
- Ensures that a released label is placed on the raw materials and lot numbers that have matched the batch record
- Must be able to identify raw materials and communicate issues to leadership.
- Ability to communicate and interact with other departments (Gelatin, Encapsulation, Maintenance, Quality Assurance and etc.)
- Executes proper shift change and communicates all information pertaining to the operator's area of responsibility
- Anticipates and minimizes down time to ensure completion of order in a timely manner
- Assists with janitorial duties in production areas when required
- Ensures that work area is clean and always organized
- Clean and sanitize all equipment pertaining to SOPs.
- Communicates solutions and ideas on how to improve department to leadership.
- Performs all duties in compliance with safety rules, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and cGMPs (Current Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Performs other duties as assigned
