About the Role:
We’re looking for a talented and nimble Motion Designer to join our Design team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role will begin with a two-week contract trial period, during which we’ll assess mutual fit. Should things go well, there is potential to convert this role into a full-time position. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI-powered video editing experiences while exploring a long-term fit with our team. We’re seeking someone with strong creative instincts, a passion for motion design, and the ability to iterate quickly across a variety of video and animation projects.
You'll work cross-functionally with engineering and creative teams to develop AI Edit styles, playing a pivotal role in shaping how millions of videos are edited. If you have a keen eye for design, storytelling, and motion, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!

This is a highly cross-functional role, working closely with members of the Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing high-quality motion graphics, titles, and animations for a variety of projects.
- Collaborating with technical teams to develop motion design systems, styles, and concepts for video editing templates.
- Partnering with product design to infuse motion, animation, and delight across our product suite.
- Contributing to the launch of unreleased products through motion design.
- Refreshing and updating existing projects, graphics, and templates to align with evolving industry trends.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Visual Effects, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a motion designer or interaction designer.
- Proven track record of creating motion graphics, titles, and animations for digital platforms or interactive digital products.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Figma.
- Strong grasp of design, composition, typography, and layout principles.
- Familiarity with UI/UX design, systems thinking, information hierarchy, and user flow.
- Ability to work independently, manage projects efficiently, and solve problems effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Lottie, and RIVE.
- Experience with both 2D and 3D motion design; knowledge of Cinema 4D, and Blender.
- Prior experience working with product or engineering teams.
