Description
Captivation Software is looking for a mid level systems engineer who will be working on a large, multi-year contract for the development, integration, deployment and sustainment of large, collection systems. The Senior engineer will be responsible for providing full engineering lifecycle support to the customer on complex data systems and networks.
Requirements
Security Clearance:
- Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related technical discipline required.
- Fifteen (15) years of systems engineering experience
- IAT level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M
Required Skills:
- Strong Linux knowledge (RedHat, CentOS, Rocky)
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Visio)
- Able to travel 3-4 times a year (up to 14 days/trip)
- Knowledge in optical fiber systems and cabling (ie. Corning, Multimode vs. Single mode, MTP-12 fibers)
- Strong troubleshooting skills with hardware (ie. servers, switches) and software (ie. bash, python)
