Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance and irrigation systems, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for gardens, lawns, and other landscaped areas.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain various types of irrigation systems, including drip and sprinkler systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation and maintenance tasks.
- Dig trenches for irrigation lines and ensure proper placement of pipes and fittings.
- Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions into overall garden care.
- Monitor water usage and adjust systems as needed to promote efficient irrigation practices.
- Provide recommendations for landscape improvements based on water management needs.
Requirements
- Two years of proven experience in landscape maintenance or a related field.
- Valid SSN/iTIN and DRIVER'S LICENSE
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot irrigation systems effectively.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Ability to dig trenches and perform physical labor as required by the job.
- Familiarity with lawn care practices and garden maintenance is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
