We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our senior leadership team to lead and manage acquisitions in the power and fuel generation space in the Energy Transition sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deal sourcing and execution, as well as managing team members, with a hands-on approach to identifying, structuring, and closing transactions across a range of renewable and clean energy technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full lifecycle of acquisitions, with a focus on originating and executing investments in power generation assets like Solar, Wind, RNG, Fuel Cells
- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of acquisition opportunities, leveraging both direct outreach and strategic partnerships.
- Structure and negotiate transactions with a focus on 100% equity acquisitions.
- Collaborate with legal, technical, and financial teams to conduct due diligence and ensure timely
- execution of deals.
- Build and maintain relationships with developers, bankers, brokers, and other industry stakeholders to drive deal flow.
- Provide strategic input to the investment committee and support the development of investment theses for new opportunities.
- Contribute to post-acquisition integration planning and value creation initiatives.
Ideal Background & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in M&A, investment, or project development within the power generation sector, with a focus on renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, renewable natural gas (RNG), fuel cells, or other clean energy solutions.
- Proven track record of successfully sourcing and closing transactions, ideally including the acquisition of operating or development-stage assets.
- Deep understanding of financial structuring across the capital stack, including equity, debt, and tax equity.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex investment
- opportunities.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and with external stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Base salary of $195K - $300K plus bonus.
