WHO are we looking for?

 

CAPTRUST is seeking a Senior Strategic Growth Associate to assist with M&A deal sourcing, sales and marketing support, market research and analysis. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented with a strong work ethic, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, well-organized, collaborative, and accountable all the while possessing a sense of urgency while performing under tight deadlines. This position will have an immediate opportunity to impact efficiency, provide ideas for process improvements, and help drive insights for a rapidly growing company. M&A is a key initiative to drive growth of the firm, and as such, has a high degree of interaction and visibility internally and externally.

 

These job responsibilities encompass a range of activities aimed at promoting the firm's M&A services, generating leads, and supporting the overall M&A process through strategic marketing and communication efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify potential acquisition targets
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry contacts, including business owners, executives, and intermediaries
  • Develop marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, and case studies, to support M&A initiatives
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all marketing materials and communications
  • Leverage digital marketing tools and platforms to enhance lead generation and deal sourcing efforts
  • Prepare regular reports on marketing performance, lead generation, and deal sourcing efforts
  • Call prospects in targeted markets to set appointments gather information
  • Follow-up consistently on prospects by calling and contacting them throughout the yearDevelop comprehensive knowledge of CAPTRUST resources and culture to aid in both virtual and live meetings
  • Maintain database of industry M&A activity, and help keep internal team apprised of competitive landscape, and other major acquirers
  • Work with internal teams and marketing to maintain a library of M&A-specific and firm content to be used with prospects and COIs
  • Assist with HQ prospect visit planning, content delivery pre-/during-/post- meeting, and attendee preparation
  • Provide general sales support to M&A team for the lifecycle of a transaction sales/closing process

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent combination of training and experience required
  • Basic understanding in financial statement analysis and valuation modeling, as well as the financial advisory landscape
  • 2 years of financial services experience required

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics, and PowerBI
  • Organization skills with a strong sense of priority, urgency, and commitment to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic who can prioritize and re-prioritize with little supervision
  • Detail oriented, deep analytical skills, and a desire to learn
  • Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to travel to industry events or prospect meetings as appropriate
