CAPTRUST is seeking a Wealth Management Business Development Officer to oversee and help lead sales efforts related to strategic referral partnerships and advisor development initiatives for the Wealth Advisor Group. This position will report directly to the Head of Wealth Management Consulting at CAPTRUST.
Responsibilities
- Drive new client acquisition through the ongoing development of our referral programs with key strategic business partners like Fidelity, Schwab and ZOE Financial
- Collaborate with advisors on partner and client presentations with business partners and prospects
- Identify and adapt to market trends with internal and external partners
- Train and support participating wealth advisors as part of a team in delivering best-in-class advice and service beyond expectation to clients
- Motivate and encourage sales team to ensure quality, growth and identify potential new markets
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and within our community
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent years of experience at a wealth management or financial planning advisory firm
- Experience developing productive relationships with clients, and internal and external partners
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial principles
- Excellent sales and client service skills
- Thorough understanding of financial services and how markets and economies affect those services
- Ability to review, research, interpret, and discuss investment, financial, macroeconomic and security specific data with Senior Advisors and clients
