Southeast Regional Sales Manager


Summary

The Southeast Regional Manager purpose is to manage and grow incremental sales within the region. This person is an ambitious self-starter, with impeccable ability to drive sales and is comfortable performing cold calling sales. This position will require you to meet with strategic partners as well as new prospects to help achieve anticipated goals.


Responsibilities

  • Ability to develop sales plans for the assigned region that align with the company’s short and long-term strategic initiatives
  • Cold-calling leads and high-value targets to generate new sales. 
  • Managing a regional portion of our broadline business
  • Edit your own customer-specific sales pitches by creating a more compelling story for the customer via PowerPoint.
  • Daily use of Salesforce to dictate priorities and logging all prospective and customer interactions
  • Analyze weekly sales numbers and develop/adjust plans based off results.
  • Organize and attend market-specific trade shows. Log all leads into Salesforce and follow up promptly. 
  • Ability to diffuse negative customer situations
  • This position requires approximately 50% travel within your assigned territory
  • This job description reflects management’s assignment of mandatory functions, it does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned in the future


Experience

  • 7 to 10 years of related sales experience required
  • Experience in B2B foodservice sales and Retail preferred
  • Experience managing a sales broker is preferred


Specialized Knowledge

  • Previous experience with Salesforce is preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel skills preferred
  • Familiarity with Technomic, Datassential & NPD is preferred, but not required



Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Competitive spirit and results-driven
  • Ability to perform basic data analysis of sales numbers and make self-recommendations to course correct if needed
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to lift and/or move merchandise and/or kitchen equipment weighing up to 35lbs
