This role is essential in keeping our projects on track by helping submit, manage, and follow through on permits with local cities and counties. About the Role
As a Permit Coordinator, you’ll handle the permitting process for EV charger installations. This includes preparing documents, coordinating with homeowners and city departments, and following up to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. You’ll also help schedule site visits, update records, and communicate across departments to keep each job moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit permit applications to cities, counties, and utility companies
- Coordinate with homeowners to collect required documents and signatures
- Track permit status and follow up as needed to avoid delays
- Schedule field technician visits for site photos or in-person permit submissions
- Use CRM tools to manage customer communication and project status updates
- Work closely with the sales, installation, and admin teams to support project success
- Handle permit-related payments and maintain organized digital records
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in customer service, project coordination, or administrative support
- Strong communication skills; must be comfortable making and receiving phone calls
- Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Proficient with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
- Self-starter with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience submitting permits to cities or working with permitting departments
- Familiarity with basic electrical terminology or the permitting process for electrical work is a plus
- Background in solar, construction, or EV charging industries
- Spanish-speaking is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
