Job Summary: The Automotive Shop Secretary is responsible for handling front office duties, providing excellent customer service, and supporting our technicians and shop manager with administrative and scheduling tasks.
Key responsibilities:
Greet customers and answer incoming
Schedule service appointments and manage the shop calendar
Prepare repair orders, estimates, and invoices
Maintain customer records and vehicle service histories
Process payments and reconcile daily transactions
Communicate job status between technicians and customers
Coordinate with vendors for parts orders and returns
Keep the front desk, waiting area, and office organized and presentable
Assist with filing, data entry, and general office tasks
Qualifications
Previous experience in a customer or administrative role (automotive industry preferred but not required)
Excellent communication and organized skills
Basic computer skills (familiarity with repair shop software is a plus) as also quick books and excel
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Professional, friendly, and dependable
High school diploma or equivalent
