Job Description:
The Payroll/ Office Manager, will lead and direct the routine functions of the Payroll and Accounting Department including hiring and managing Staff, assist with processing payroll, reconciliation of benefits, navigating the ADP software and working with department managers to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time. Oversees dealership accounting staff - Directs staff in providing and maintaining procedures and systems necessary to ensure proper records, adequate accounting, financial, and related services.
- Perform any combination of the following and similar accounting duties.
- Oversee the payroll department in daily functions.
- Oversee payroll clerks in processing semi-monthly payroll ensuring that pay is processed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with department managers to ensure that payroll is processed accurately and on time.
- Oversee benefits, reconciliation of statements, cobra administration, termination of benefits.
- Input and maintain payroll updates.
- Ensure compliance with laws.
- Resolve payroll errors.
- Review and monitor time sheets given by department managers.
- Issue spiff checks.
- Ensure the safety of employee’s personal information.
- Manage PTO accruals.
- Provides proactive, problem-solving support to the management team and other staff.
Daily oversees the financial Line of Credit and Pays off flooring
Monitors and maintains corporate cash management function. Works with management to forecast cash flow needs and to optimize cash position.
Oversees accounts payable and receivables
Directs the Company's credit policies, procedures and collection activities.
Reinforces company policies and adheres to all company standards
Maintains and inspects for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Ensures proper internal controls are in place
Reviews the reconciliation of general ledger accounts with outside sources to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payable, and floor plan payable balances
Prepares information for tax planning and reporting and ensures they occur on a timely basis.
Assists in the selection of vendors and other third party relationships. Responsible for review of and adherence to contracts and other contractual relationships
Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the department. Oversee the daily workflow of the department and provide performance evaluations.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Automotive dealership experience REQUIRED.
• At least two years of payroll experience required.
• ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
• At least two years of CDK experience preferred.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (at least 5 years' experience).
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
