Job Title: Express / Lube Technician
Reports to:Service Manager
Job Description
The Lube Technician services vehicles as assigned by management following all established standards and procedures, which includes injecting grease into units, inspecting fluid levels, checking air pressure in tires, lubricating parts, rotating tires, and other tasks as assigned. He or she must follow all safety policies and procedures at all times, which includes properly using personal protective equipment when required.
Responsibilities
- Injects grease into units such as springs, universal joints, and steering knuckles using hand or compressed air powered grease gun
- Inspects fluid level of steering gear, power steering reservoir, transmission, differential, rear axle housing, and shackles
- Checks air pressure of tires
- Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants
- Drains oil from crankcase and refills crankcase with required amount of oil
- Sprays leaf spring with lubricant using spray gun
- Adds water to radiator and battery
- Replaces oil and air filters
- Rotates tires
- Packs wheel bearings
- Performs PDI as necessary
- Works in a cooperative and professional manner with all personnel
- Maintains a professional demeanor while on the job and treats members of the public in a courteous and non-discriminatory manner
- Conforms to the company’s policies on non-discrimination and harassment
- Attends training in the company's hazard communication program (workers' right to know) and properly uses chemical inventory list, material safety data sheet (MSDS), and required personal protective equipment (hearing protection, goggles, proper footwear, etc.)
- Performs other duties as assigned

- New and used car repositioning on sales lots as required for display.

Pay: $20-$21/hr
