Job Title: Production Assembly Team Member

Reports to: Team Leader (Supervisor in Team Leaders absence)

Position Summary:

Performs in fast-paced, repetitive bench or line assembly operations to assemble automotive units or sub-assemblies having many parts and details and where tolerances are specific or controlled by jigs and fixtures.

Essential Functions

Corporate:

  • Adheres to the Car Tech LLC policies and procedures

  • Complies with all Car Tech Certification standards; Management System (IATF16949), Environmental ISO 14001 and Health and Safety ISO 45001 policies and procedures
  • Treats all Car Tech team members with respect and professional courtesy
  • Always strives to maintain a positive work environment
  • Performs additional assignments / duties as required by management

EHS:

  • Adheres and comply to all safety policies and procedures
  • 5S, clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment
  • Consistently meets company safety goals

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Assembly of metal, and electronic components using hand, pneumatic, and electric tools, fixtures, and jigs
  • Understands and follows LOTO Procedure.
  • Review and follow work orders and work instructions to ensure work is performed according to specifications
  • Monitor assembly operations and production flow
  • Recognize defective parts and any inconsistencies with production flow and communicate to Team Leads, Supervisors, and/or Managers
  • Perform layered audit and quality checks
  • Package finished products and prepare them for Inspection
  • Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular production process
  • Reports all nonconforming material to Team Leader.
  • Follow and maintain processes and procedures associated with the production area
  • Completely fills out production reports
  • Reports all down time immediately verbally and written.
  • Performs any variety of operations within the group to maintain flow of work
  • Able to train others in this position if needed
  • Cross train in other areas in this department
  • Follow supervisor directions carefully.
  • Understands and applies correct LOTO procedures.
  • Works safely in a manufacturing environment
  • Accurately follows and perform Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Exhibits clear competency when performing the roles and responsibilities in specific job duty
  • Works well with others and promote a positive team-orientated work environment
  • Displays knowledge of product history.
  • Demonstrates an active understanding of processes, procedures, standards and methods in assigned area
  • Achieves production output requirements while maintaining quality standards
  • Actively understands of production schedules and efficiently transitions between model changeovers
  • Recommends improvements of process or equipment or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency

Skills and qualifications

· Good communication skills.

· Physical fitness and strength to lift and operate heavy electrical machinery.

· Excellent hand-eye coordination.

· Good communication skills.

· Ability to operate soldering machines.

· Work as part of a team, follow directions

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical demands also at times may include safely handling multiple, continuous parts flow in and out of manufacturing operations work areas which requires pushing and pulling of carts. Work environment is climate controlled in most areas.
