Car Wash Maintenance Tech

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of duties related to maintaining and servicing machinery and backroom equipment
• Travel between multiple locations and provide routine scheduled maintenance and unscheduled breakdown repairs
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and test electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing, and pneumatic issues
• Read and interpret manuals, work orders, schematics, and other equipment documentation
• Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other equipment as needed
• Comply with all safety guidelines, procedures, and PPE requirements at all times
• Work efficiently and effectively when juggling multiple projects
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment changes or modification through various resources such as training seminars, maintenance manuals, and service bulletins, or engineering documents, as well as individual research.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair and perform preventative maintenance on vehicle wash equipment and accessories including electrical, electronic, and mechanical problems.
• Replace, repair, or adjust parts and systems as necessary.
• Inspect, calibrate, and check all chemicals.

Technical Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum one (1) year experience equipment maintenance / repair experience
• Car wash experience preferred but not required.
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. is required; Able to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. is preferred.
• Able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Able to climb ladders to heights over 14 feet.
• Able to be on your feet all day.
• Able to work inside and outside for extended periods while exposed to various weather conditions including cold and heat.

Personal Capabilities:

• Must be able to work weekends
• Able to operate mechanical equipment and machines as described.
• Able to comprehend and interpret equipment, operating, and maintenance manuals and instructions.
• Electrical Knowledge and excellent mechanical abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
