Curbside Associate and Barista

Cara Mia Baking Co. is a patisserie/cafe in Lomita, CA. We are seeking an experienced barista and curbside service team member. We are partnering with a well-known coffee provider that works closely with their growers in a direct trade relationship.

Potential candidates are passionate about coffee, have integrity, a hardworking ethic, strong team skills and a customer-centric focus. Our customers will have a positive experience every time they walk through our doors. This is a part-time position with the potential to develop into full-time, and is a great opportunity for someone looking to be part of an innovative and hard-working team.

Job Duties and Qualifications:

• Previous barista experience
• Morning coffee bar start-up and prep (opening shifts 5:45AM)
• Learn the coffee and espresso menu, and execute drinks as per customer orders
• Understand dietary needs, such as alternative milks
• Be personable and able to interact with customers as you make their coffee
• Ability to multitask, work quickly and efficiently
• Work cleanly with knowledge of safe food handling practices
• Positive attitude
• Ability to efficiently take orders out to the curbside pick up lane,
• Current Food Handler Permit
