What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipe Layer / Laborer position at Caracas Construction Corporation?
Summary:
Caracas Construction Corp. is seeking to add a Pipe Layer to join one of our utility crews. This position will primarily occur on projects in Western Massachusetts. The candidate must be physically fit, quick thinking, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
Reports To:
Foreman and Site Superintendent
Responsibilities:
- Installing ductile iron water mains
- Installing copper water service connections
- Installing PVC sewer mains and associated structures
- Installing sewer service connections
- Installing HDPE and RCP drainage pipe and associated structures
- Locating utilities
- Being safety conscious at all times
- Uphold a standard of quality in the execution of all construction tasks
- Ensuring cleanliness and organization of tools, trucks, and jobsites
Requirements:
- 3 years experience working as a pipe layer in the water and sewer industry
- Laborers must be physically fit
- Must be able to physically push, pull, pry, bend, and twist while using various tools
- Proficiency with power tools and running small pieces of equipment
- OSHA 10 Certification
- DOT Physical Card
- US Work Authorization
- Valid Drivers License
