The Financial Analyst is an important role in the success of the FP&A team. The role facilitates the connection between financial and operational data, providing leaders with valuable insights for informed decision-making. They analyze historical and current data to project future periods accurately and to influence decisions that enable Caravel to efficiently plan and deliver results.
Essential Functions:
- Provides valuable insights and contributes to the development of impactful operational initiatives across clinical operations and functional departments.
- Manages a comprehensive suite of operational reporting tools.
- Collaborate with the FP&A team to design self-service reports for location leaders, integrating data relevant to critical functions such as financial performance, operational KPIs, talent & client pipeline, and employee retention.
- Collect, organize, and analyze financial data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness for reporting and analysis purposes. Creates dashboards and graphs to effectively communicate information to stakeholders and uncover trends and relationships.
- Collaborates with department leaders to conduct cost/benefit analyses for key decisions as required.
- Maintains the existing multi-site financial budget and projection model for current locations and new ventures, utilizing key operating metrics and comparing them to recent performance.
- Assists in analytical work for the development, monitoring, and selection of sites in the de novo plan.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency enhancements within the finance function, contributing to the overall effectiveness and productivity of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies and procedures, maintaining accurate and transparent financial records and disclosures.
Non-Essential Functions/Other Duties: Performs other duties and ad hoc analysis as assigned.
Travel Required: Occasional travel required with use of personal vehicle between clinical sites.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics or equivalent work experience required
Experience:
- At least 2 years of prior Financial Analyst experience required
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Knowledge of statistics and data modeling required
- Experience utilizing a business intelligence data platform such as Power BI preferred
- Proficiency in other Microsoft Office application preferred
