Company Overview: Join a dynamic and growing healthcare organization operating a network of approximately 100 urgent care and primary care clinics across 16 states. Our focus is on fee-for-service (FFS) commercial and government contracts, with a commitment to operational excellence and delivering exceptional patient care. We are seeking a Director or Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to lead and optimize our revenue cycle processes.
Position Overview: The Director/Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Management will oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, from patient registration to collections, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and financial performance. This individual will play a critical role in managing FFS commercial and government contracts, optimizing cash flow, and supporting both internal operations and client needs. While expertise in value-based care (VBC) is a plus, it is not a requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations for a network of approximately 100 clinics, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
This includes clinical billing oversight, coding, in house and outsourced billing, billing support and payment posting.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue capture, reduce denials, and improve collections.
Manage relationships with commercial and government payers, negotiating contracts and ensuring adherence to payer requirements.
Monitor and analyze revenue cycle metrics and KPIs, providing regular reports and actionable insights to leadership.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements related to billing and coding.
Support external clients with revenue cycle needs, acting as a trusted advisor and problem solver.
Collaborate with clinic operations, finance, and other internal teams to align RCM processes with overall business goals.
Evaluate and implement technology solutions to enhance revenue cycle efficiency and accuracy.
Build and lead a high-performing hybrid RCM team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
7 years of experience in revenue cycle management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record managing RCM for multi-site urgent care and/or primary care organizations.
Deep knowledge of FFS commercial and government payer contracts, including Medicare and Medicaid. Experience with California based payers and IPAs a big plus.
Strong understanding of billing and coding processes, compliance standards, and industry regulations.
Experience with revenue cycle technology platforms, including EMRs and billing systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable strategies.
Capitated (VBC) expertise is a plus but not required.
