About Us: We are an early-stage carbon project developer working towards building a reforestation and agroforestry project in Costa Rica that not only sequesters carbon, but also enhances biodiversity, supports local communities, and promotes sustainable land management practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team to craft the design and project proposal for a reforestation and agroforestry project in Costa Rica
- Provide writing support to the team as they craft their proposal for the Symbiosis Reforestation and Agroforestry RFP
Qualifications:
- Experience: Approximately 2 years of relevant work experience; hands-on experience with nature-based carbon removal projects preferred
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
- Technical Skills: Strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools/software used for data analysis and project evaluation
- Knowledge: Familiarity with carbon accounting methodologies (e.g., Verra, Gold Standard) and an understanding of global carbon markets preferred
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Ecology, Sustainability, Economics, or a related field
- Soft Skills: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
