As a Contract Shop Manager at Carbon Robotics, your primary engagements will be inventory shop operations and related tasks to support Field Robotics Engineers in their duties keeping precision agricultural equipment operating at full potential. You will ensure the smooth running of the warehouse/workshop and the organization's vehicles and motorized equipment. This includes establishing procedures and standards, ensuring that all equipment is in line with operational requirements, and is used safely and properly maintained, ordering spare parts, managing stock control, training and supervising employed personnel.
This is a 3-to-6-month contract role that requires onsite presence.
What you'll do:
- Receive and ship spares, materials, and supplies at the Carbon Shop.
- Process and load orders, pull materials, pack boxes, and prepare deliveries.
- Update inventory system for transfers, receptions, and dispatches.
- Track purchase orders with suppliers and vendors.
- Transport materials between Carbon locations as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate shortages.
- Document shipments and deliveries to maintain stock.
- Perform full inventory counts regularly.
- Keep the shop clean and organized.
- Coordinate shop visits, providing necessary spaces and supplies.
- Manage receiving, staging, and kitting of retrofits.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 4 years of relevant experience.
- Valid driver's license and forklift experience.
- Proficient with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, etc.).
- Mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or Caterpillar vehicle experience.
- Fleet management and administrative IT skills (Excel, Word, Google Suite).
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Team player, adaptable, and solution-oriented.
- Willing to work in extreme weather and handle stress.
- Physically able to maintain equipment and operate machinery.
