What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician position at Carbon Valley Eye Care?
We are a fast-paced optometry office looking for a friendly, organized, team-oriented individual to become an integral part of our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and delivering outstanding customer service. This role requires close collaboration with patients, doctors, and staff, and demands flexibility and the ability to multitask effectively.
In this role, you will work as an Optometric Technician . We’re seeking someone who is highly detail-oriented and possesses strong communication skills. While prior experience is preferred, we are happy to train the right person.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Performing initial patient workups, including gathering information on the chief complaint, ocular and systemic history, and past family/social history.
- Measuring visual acuities, checking intraocular pressures, performing tonometry, retinal photography, and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT).
- Assisting with contact lens check-ins and patient follow-ups.
- Ordering contact lenses.
- Scheduling

- Experience in optometry or healthcare is a plus but not required.
