HR Specialist

Job Summary:
The HR Specialist at CarbonFree will be responsible for overseeing and administering HR policies, procedures, and programs. This role ensures compliance with employment regulations, supports employee relations, manages recruitment processes, and contributes to the overall efficiency of the HR department. The HR Specialist will collaborate with HR leadership to enhance employee engagement, retention, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations:
- Provide guidance and support to employees and management on HR policies and procedures.
- Address employee concerns and grievances promptly and professionally.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
HR Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Assist with audits, reports, and other compliance-related tasks.
Performance Management:
- Support the development and implementation of performance review processes.
- Assist managers with employee performance evaluations and improvement plans.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Assist in administering employee benefits programs.
- Provide information to employees regarding benefits and eligibility.
Training & Development:
- Coordinate training sessions and professional development initiatives.
- Track employee training progress and maintain training records.
HR Data Management:
- Maintain HRIS systems and ensure data integrity.
- Generate reports and analyze HR metrics to support decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in HR or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).
- Experience in employee relations, talent acquisition, and performance management within the energy or manufacturing sectors.
