Bindery Operator at Print Shop (M-F 1st SHIFT!)

We are a wholesale forms printing company printing 150-200 orders a day for over 1700 brokers and other print shops nationwide. We have been in business since 1990 and currently have approximately 30 employees.

We are searching for high quality people who are looking for a long term relationship, ideally wanting to work at our company until they retire.

BINDERY DUTIES: The Bindery Department performs many different operations after our product is printed. Here are some examples:

• Cutting: Using a hydraulic cutter to cut down paper from 11x17 size to whatever the finished size form is. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs to move stacks of paper around. Also need good hand and forearm strength to jog stacks of paper before putting into the cutter.
• Glueing: We glue tons of carbonless forms and notepads.
• Numbering: Many of our forms are numbered using specialized numbering machines.
• Folding: We print a lot of brochures and menus that are folded down to size.
• Shrink Wrapping: All our orders are shrink wrapped when completed to give a nice finished look and for protection in shipping.
• Shipping: We ship hundreds of boxes a day, weighing up to 50 lbs. You must be able to easily lift 35 lb boxes to do this job.

• Dependable (Don't apply if you frequently call off work. We need our employees here on a daily basis to get our time sensitive work produced as quickly as possible.)
• Hard Working (We pay piecework, so the more efficiently you work, the more you get paid. All our employees make between $20-$25/hr after they are fully trained and doing their work efficiently and consistently. If you like to talk or spend time on your phone a lot instead of working, don't apply)
• Not Afraid To Use Machines (Those who are comfortable working on a variety of machines will do much better than someone who isn't mechanically minded.)
• Teachable/Trainable (If you are willing to learn from others, you will do great. If you think you already know it all, you should stay at your current job.)
• Quality Minded (We, and our customers, demand the highest quality product possible. Only apply if you take pride in the work you do.)
• Grateful (We want people who are enjoyable to work with, get along with others, and are thankful for their job. If you're always grumpy and complaining, don't apply.)
• Comfortable Working Inside In Air Conditioning (Our print shop is temperature and humidity controlled - it's always about 70 degrees. If you prefer working inside a hot, stuffy factory, this is not the place for you.)
• Clean: (Don't apply if you can't pass a drug test.)

PAY/WAGES:

• Starting wage is $15.00-$18.00/hr based on experience and ability. After training, will be paid piecework with potential of $20-$25/hr
• Quarterly (b/t $900-$1000/quarter) and Yearly Bonuses (3% of pay)
• PLUS Yearly Raises based on inflation

NORMAL HOURS:

• 7:00am - 3:30pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Evenings and weekends off!
• Part Time or Full Time available

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
