CNC Laser Operator

Carbotech is looking to hire an experienced CNC Laser Operator to join our production team in Roebuck, SC!

JOB SUMMARY:

The CNC Laser Operator is a pivotal part of our production team!

• The CNC Laser Operator employs a variety of techniques to construct metal components safely and according to specifications.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, and schematics to process laser cutting jobs.
• Perform regular and routine maintenance on laser and support equipment, ensuring that repairs are made or equipment is replaced as needed.
• Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with company safety regulations and policies.
• Use techniques to consistently test welds for durability and compliance with specified standards
• Work within a team-based environment to accomplish all aspects of laser cutting.
• Effectively work independently.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. The CNC Laser Operator must have knowledge of the following:

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to complete laser cutting projects.
• The operation and adjustment of laser cutting equipment.
• MAZAK-510 or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Laser cutting process, gasses, etc.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Mechanical skills and knowledge of basic machinery, including computers, tools, and other devices
• Calculate figures and apply basic mathematical functions including fractions and decimals.

2. HS Diploma or equivalent

3. Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

• Laser cutting table operation and troubleshooting experience a plus

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
