General Job Duties :
Detailed Inspection of Electrical Control Panels, Junction Boxes and Wire Harnesses from electrical blueprints.
This position is responsible for physical inspection of wiring and testing of electrical panels for industrial equipment. The panel shop Quality Inspector will test with multi meter all controls to their respective blueprints, including but not limited to the primary responsibilities outlined below.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities :
- Dimensioning and layout of back panels and enclosures
- Torque check of devices
- Applying labels and stickers to cabinets.
- Review corrections to be made with panel builders and verify corrections when panel builder is finished.
- Fill out quality check sheet for panels / cabinets.
- When the panel / cabinet is finished, take pictures to be stored on the server.
- Checking of components to back panels and enclosures for location and tightness.
- Point-to-point Continuity checks of Relays, Controls, PLC's, I / O Modules, VFD's, Interfaces & Instrumentation
- Troubleshooting as needed to eliminate errors and potential component malfunctions.
- Maintaining redline drawing mark-ups of any changes required during manufacturing (as signed off by Engineering)
- Communicate effectively with all team members as well as Management.
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong attention to quality and details
- Teamwork approach and ability to help in other areas as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
