What You’ll Do:
As an Assistant Infant Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the care and development of infants by:
- Assisting with feeding, diapering, and classroom routines
- Helping to maintain a calm, clean, and organized Montessori environment
- Following the lead teacher’s direction to guide children gently and respectfully
- Engaging with infants through age-appropriate interaction and observation
- Supporting developmental milestones and individual needs
- Building trusting relationships with families and communicating with kindness
- Ensuring the health and safety of all children at all times
- Participating in staff training, meetings, and events
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- A love for infants and a nurturing, patient nature
- Prior experience in a childcare setting preferred, but not required
- Willingness to learn and follow the Montessori approach
- Dependable, flexible, and able to work collaboratively with others
- Physically able to lift children, sit on the floor, and perform care routines
- CPR/First Aid, Child Abuse, and Communicable Disease training required (can be obtained after hire)
