Preschool Teacher for 4-year old classroom

Carden Academy of Maui is seeking a full-time teacher for a 4-year-old program for the 2025-26 school year. The teacher will serve a group of 12 preschool students. The ideal teacher will have a passion for early childhood in addition to successful experience teaching in an early learning program.

• Serve as the lead teacher for 12 students in our 4-year old classroom (there is an assistant for some hours each day)
• Create and maintain a joyful classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and academic growth through engaging, hands-on activities and age-appropriate lesson
• Regularly assess students and develop lessons that align with a developmentally appropriate program for children aged 4 to 5
• Manage, assess, and articulate classroom needs for resources and programmatic growth
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills to establish and maintain strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates on children’s progress and offering strategies for continued learning at home
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and implement special activities and events for the children

• A love for young children, flexibility, and a sense of humor are required
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Child Development Associate (CDA) for Preschool Credential accepted
• PATCH Certified as a teacher or director
• Willingness to learn Carden-inspired curriculum
• Basic technology skills

• Carden Training (we can train the individual)
• 3-5 year of experience as a lead teacher or director in a preschool program

Salary : $45,000 - $65,000
