**Overview:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of medical records, medical terminology, and experience working in a medical office setting.
**Responsibilities:**
- Organize and maintain patient medical records
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of patient information
- Retrieve patient records for healthcare providers
- Process requests for release of medical information
- Input and update patient data using electronic health record systems
- Assist with coding and indexing of medical records
- Follow all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with medical records or in a medical office preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
