Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of the warehouse. This includes managing the storage, inventory, shipping, and receiving of goods while ensuring compliance with safety standards and driving improvements in warehouse operations. The Warehouse Manager will lead a team of warehouse staff and work closely with other departments to meet company goals and objectives. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Staff Management: Lead and manage a team of warehouse workers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure staff work efficiently and safely. 
• Inventory Control: Oversee the receiving, storing, and distribution of products. Ensure inventory is accurate and up to date by conducting regular stock audits and using inventory management systems. 
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure that the warehouse complies with all relevant health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment for all employees. 
• Order Fulfillment: Supervise and ensure that orders are picked, packed, and shipped according to customer specifications. Optimize processes for fast and accurate order processing. 
• Warehouse Organization: Organize and maintain the warehouse layout to improve efficiency in storage, retrieval, and shipping. Implement best practices for inventory storage. 
• Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and distribution of goods. 
• Equipment Management: Ensure warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) is maintained and properly utilized. 
• Reporting: Provide regular reports on warehouse operations, inventory levels, shipping metrics, and other KPIs to management. 
• Process Improvement: Continuously assess warehouse processes and make recommendations for improvements in efficiency, cost savings, and overall workflow. 

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). 
• Five years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain operations required. 
• Strong leadership and team management skills. 
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics. 
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software. 
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed (often 50 lbs.). 
• Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment (preferred). 
• Knowledge of OSHA or other relevant safety regulations.
