Job Summary:
The Director of Operations will be responsible for managing and improving all operational aspects of the company, including production, fulfillment, logistics, and administrative functions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can oversee day-to-day operations while developing systems to support growth and scalability. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, ensuring Cardin McCoy meets its production cost targets, delivery deadlines, and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Oversee production processes, including screen printing, packaging, and order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with the production team at the Brunswick, GA facility to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Manage inventory levels, including raw materials and finished goods, to align with production and sales demands.
- Ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, meeting or exceeding delivery KPIs.
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements to streamline operations, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all operational activities.
- Leverage technology and tools to optimize workflows and improve communication across teams.
Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations team, including warehouse staff, fulfillment coordinators, and administrative support.
- Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Financial Oversight
- Work closely with the finance team to manage budgets, track expenses, and forecast operational costs.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, cost management, and inventory turnover.
- Support financial reporting by providing operational data and insights.
Administrative and HR Responsibilities
- Oversee administrative tasks, including vendor account management, supply procurement, and office management for the Nashville location.
- Manage HR functions such as employee onboarding, time tracking, and compliance with company policies.
- Act as a point of contact for employee relations and team coordination.
Collaboration and Communication
- Partner with the CEO to align operations with company goals and strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure operational readiness for product launches and campaigns.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 7 years of experience in operations management, preferably in manufacturing, retail, or eCommerce.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in inventory management, production scheduling, and logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in operational tools and software (e.g., ERP systems, inventory management tools).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
