Personal Care Aide (PCA)

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to caregiving and have experience in memory care, senior care, or home community care.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Support clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Monitor and document clients' health status and report any changes to the appropriate personnel.
• Implement behavior management strategies as needed for clients with developmental disabilities.
• Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Skills

• Experience in memory care and senior care is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of caregiving principles and practices.
• Ability to clean and maintain a hygienic living space for clients.
• Familiarity with systems that support home community care services.
• Background in social work or related fields is a plus.
• Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Patience, empathy, and strong problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role.
