Job Summary
Cardinal Correctional Care is looking to hire PRN, FTE, and PT Registered Nurses to join our team working in a correctional institution setting. This position will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care under the supervision of physicians. Duties
- Conduct physical examinations and assess patients' health status by taking vital signs and documenting findings.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide care for patients with infectious diseases, offering education on prevention and management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Support behavioral health initiatives by recognizing mental health issues and providing appropriate interventions.
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of internal medicine practices.
- Strong ability to perform physical examinations and interpret vital signs accurately.
- Knowledgeable in infectious disease care protocols and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Correctional Healthcare Experience is a PLUS but not mandatory.
